Take advantage of home automation to
save energy while enjoying safety and
convenience. Simply press the "away"
button on your security panel as you
leave. Your alarm will arm and your
lights will turn off and your
thermostats will turn the heat down,
the coffee maker will turn off, and the
porch lights will come on
automatically at dusk.
Many new homes are being built today
which are already technologically
obsolete. The various systems in your
home such as the heating, air
conditioning, security, and lighting
have been traditionally built as stand-
alone systems. Home automation
means that those systems "talk to"
each other so that the result is
convenience, energy efficiency, and
safety.
Just a few examples of the
convenience and safety of home
automation:
What if your 7 year old needs to go to
the bathroom in the middle of the
night? A sensor in the hallway
detects your child’s presence and
turns the hall lights on just bright
enough so she can see her way to the
bathroom. Shortly after she goes
back to sleep, the lights extinguish
again.
The doorbell rings. All the TV’s in the
house automatically change to a
special channel which shows who is
standing at the front door. The music
system automatically mutes. You can
pick up any phone to talk to that
person – without ever going to or
opening the door. Think about all the
possibilities for making your daily life
more safe or convenient and we can
design a custom solution to
accommodate you. The only limit to
home automation is your own
imagination.
